Our effort to fight off Davie Commons in West Davie needs your help!  We're not just fighting off this project but we're setting a strong precedent for our opposition to any commercial rezoning of Shotgun Road land or any rural land for that matter.  If we win this fight, we'll send a strong message to other developers that they will waste an enormous amount of time and money trying to do commercial projects in West Davie. 

While we'd all like to see cows and horses on vacant parcels forever, reality says that won't be the case.  So we need to insure that future development is only for prime neighborhoods consistent with existing ones.  If Davie Commons succeeds, it will be that much easier for the next commercial developer to get one of the remaining parcels rezoned!

We need you to contribute publicly or anonymously the following:

• Write a letter to this site or a letter to the editor of a newspaper and we'll post a copy here with your permission.

• Write your gov't leaders and we'll post a copy here with your permission.

• When you attend public meetings, take some notes and lets get them posted.

• Scour the internet for websites, articles, etc...that we can link to here.

• Tell your neighbors about the this fight and this website! 

• Send us your ideas to help our campaign become more effective.

• Join our email list and visit this site frequently to stay informed.

Anyone against Davie Commons that lives in Davie, Weston, Bonaventure, Sunshine Ranches and Southwest Ranches MUST take a proactive role as this development will create a REGIONAL problem, not just a West Davie problem!  Regional problems get regional fixes like quiet roads turned into thoroughfares to relieve traffic!

30,000 cars a day are expected!

It can't be good for our quality of life or our safety.
