To the Davie Town Council

I am totally against changing the land use zoning.  But to argue against the developer's proposal, it occurred to me how the 30 foot berm proposal is flawed.  One only needs to go to the top of Vista View Park to understand that the berm will only block the view for the homes nearest the berm. 

I would encourage everyone that is for or against The Commons to go to Vista View and see how many homes you can see.  I'm guessing that the vertical height of Vista View is roughly equal to a six story building.  If you can see a home from the top of the hill, the residents of that home can see you

Imagine a berm with some trees and you'll quickly realize that it will only block the view of the proposed six story buildings from those homes closest to the berm assuming that the trees have a full canopy and there are no spaces between trees. 

But at the top of Vista View, these proposed buildings could be seen from miles away.  Do we really want Davie to have a skyline??
