"We live in horse country and would be greatly affected by the increase in traffic flow to our community. 31st Ct has always had a large amount of traffic & with this mall it will only increase the residential traffic problem we have now." J&M Kendall SW 148th Ave The most recent threat to West Broward County, Florida, is a proposed development called "Davie Commons" which would be located just north of Arvida Parkway on the east side of I-75. "I am flabbergasted at the adacity of these developers who are TELLING us what they are going to do in our town instead of ASKING us what they can!! They need our permission for this, not the other way around. We can't let this happen. We have the power to stop this." Irma F. SW 29th Court
"We do not want a land use change in this area. We certainly do not need a Davie Commons" Vicki, SW 16th Street Who are we? This is a grass roots effort and the support and help of all concerned residents in Davie, Weston, Bonaventure, Sunshine Ranches, and Southwest Ranches is greatly needed. This website is an educational tool for concerned citizens to help spread the word of the real threat - if we open the doors to rezoning land for Davie Commons, which developer will be next trying to commercialize another Shotgun Road or any other vacant parcel?? We’ll fight it from the bottom up and time is running out as this development moves through process of getting the zoning changed to commercial from agricultural/residential. We need your help ASAP. Thanks, NoDavieCommons.com |
